| The Nicene Creed is the living doctrine that represents our faith and belief. |

The word Orthodox is a combination of two words, Orthos which means
'true' and Doxos which means 'glory'. Orthodoxy is nothing but True Glory,
glorification of the Triune God in the True Way.
We believe that God is One in substance and Triune in persons. We
worship One God in Trinity, and the Trinity in Unity. All creation is
the work of the Holy Trinity. The world is not self-created, neither
has it existed from eternity, but it is created out of nothing (ex
cathedra nihilo) by the Love of God.
The Head of the Orthodox Church is our Lord Jesus Christ, as the Church
was instituted through the power of the Holy Spirit, and the Church is
held to be One, Holy, Apostolic and Catholic; The Church is ONE because
our Lord Jesus Christ founded not many, but only one Church; HOLY
because her aim, the salvation of all through the grace of the
sacraments, is holy; APOSTOLIC because she was "built upon the
foundation of the Apostles and CATHOLIC because she is above local
limitations and is Universal in her scope.

Faith Study Series - Part-1: Infant Baptism
|
 | Holy Baptism is the first sacrament and is a pre requisite for any
other sacraments. In baptism, a person dies to sin and is born again by
the Holy Spirit to a new life in Jesus Christ.
The Orthodox Church believes in Infant Baptism. Rev. Fr. Jobson
Kottapurathu explains the biblical and historical aspects of Infant
Baptism.

Faith Study Series: Part 2: Prayer for the Departed
|
 | The Orthodox Church believes that Church is the body of Christ and any one who is baptized will be part of His body. As Christ lives eternally His body also should be living eternally. Jesus said 'Who ever eats of my body and drinks of my blood shall live eternally -John 6:54'. Life eternal can not be challenged by physical changes. Because physical is not eternal, eternal is beyond physical. Death is only a physical change brought on humans.

Faith Study Series: Part 3: Intercession of Saints
|
 | The Orthodox Church believes in the intercession of the Saints. We do not worship the saints, but only honor or venerate them. The basic purpose of our invocation of saints is to partake in the Holiness of God with them. 'Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith -Hebrews 13:7'

We believe in one True God:
The Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all
things-visible and invisible:
And in the One Lord, Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God;
begotten of the Father before all worlds, Light of Light, very God of
very God; begotten, not made; being of the same substance with the
Father; and by whom all things were made; Who for us men, and for our
salvation, came down from Heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Virgin
Mary, Mother of God, by the Holy Ghost, and became man; And was
crucified for us in the days of Pontius Pilate; and suffered and died,
and was buried.
And on the third day he rose again, according to His will and ascended
into heaven, and sat on the right hand of the Father, and shall come
again in His great glory to judge, both the living and the dead, and
whose kingdom will have no end:
And in the Living Holy Spirit, the life giving-Lord of all, who
proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped
and glorified; who spoke by the prophets and the Apostles:
And in the One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church: And we acknowledge
one baptism for the remission of sins and look for the
resurrection of the dead; and the new life in the world to come. Amen.
